As the interim minister I welcome you to the web page of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania in the midst of Pennsylvania Dutch country in Easter Lebanon County. St. Paul’s has been here in the middle of town for over 250 years. During that time St. Paul’s has carried on the ministry that was Christ’s own: the ministry of reconciliation and love. We stand on the premises of the Reformation through our heritage in the German Reformed Church and the later Evangelical and Reformed Church. In 1957, the Evangelical Reformed Church merged with the Congregational Christian Church to become the United Church of Christ, which is a united and uniting church. The motto of the UCC is taken directly from scripture: “That they all may be one.” No matter who you are and no matter where you find yourself on life’s journey, you are welcome here at St. Paul’s.
